48V 150Ah Lithium Battery for Telecom Tower and Communications Backup Power

The lithium battery used for energy storage in the communication room base station tower of HOFFUM Lithium Iron Phosphate Battery 48V 150AH is affected by temperature, discharge depth, storage, and service life. High ambient temperature can lead to insufficient charging of lithium batteries, while low temperature can affect the lifespan of lithium batteries. Generally, a temperature of around 25℃ is required. Lithium batteries should not be deeply discharged to avoid affecting their service life. Lithium batteries may lose some capacity during storage and installation, and should be recharged before use. Lead acid battery technology is mature and cost-effective, but its lifespan is relatively short.

The ambient temperature has a significant impact on lithium batteries. When the ambient temperature is high, it can cause the lithium battery to produce gas. When the ambient temperature is low, it can lead to insufficient charging of the lithium battery, which can affect its service life. Therefore, it is generally required that the ambient temperature be around 25 degrees Celsius, and the UPS float charging voltage value is also set according to this temperature. In practical applications, lithium batteries are generally charged within the range of 5℃ to 35℃. Temperatures below 5℃ or above 35℃ can greatly reduce the capacity and shorten the service life of lithium batteries. The depth of discharge also has a significant impact on the service life of lithium batteries. The deeper the discharge depth of lithium batteries, the fewer cycles they can be used. Therefore, deep discharge of lithium batteries should be avoided when using them. Although UPS has battery potential protection function, the UPS will automatically shut down when a single battery is discharged to around 10.5V. However, if the UPS is in a light load discharge or no-load discharge state, it can also cause deep discharge of the lithium battery. Lithium batteries may lose some capacity due to self discharge during storage and installation. Therefore, before putting lithium batteries into use after installation, the remaining capacity of the lithium battery should be determined first, and then different methods should be used to recharge the lithium battery. For lithium batteries that have been stored for a long time, they should be recharged every 3 months. The quality of the lithium battery can be judged by measuring the open circuit voltage of the battery. Taking a 12V lithium battery as an example, if the open circuit voltage is higher than 12.5V, it means that the stored energy of the lithium battery is still more than 80%. If the open circuit voltage is above 12.5V, it should be recharged immediately. If the open circuit voltage is lower than 12V, it means that the stored energy of the lithium battery is less than 20%, and the lithium battery cannot be used.

From the perspective of the energy storage battery market, the main force in China's energy storage battery market is still lead-acid batteries. Lithium ion batteries and sodium ion batteries are mainly in the development stage, with an overall market size of 6 billion yuan. In 2012, the output value of lead-acid batteries in the energy storage field reached 4 billion yuan, lithium batteries were 500 million yuan, and sodium ion batteries were 500 million yuan. Lead acid battery technology is mature and has the lowest cost among all chemical energy batteries. The main problem is that the lifespan is relatively short, especially during deep discharge. Conventional lead-acid batteries have a lifespan of about a few hundred cycles, while lithium-ion and sodium ion batteries have a cycle lifespan of up to thousands of cycles, and sodium ion batteries are more suitable for use in low-temperature environments.
